Oldest Pro Player is RFU's Presidential Candidate

Among the few candidates for the new head of the RFU (the last guy was sacked after Euro 2012) is Russia's (and possibly Europe's) oldest professional football player, Vladimir Tumayev. As chairman of First Division club Gazovik-Gazprom, Tumayev joined his players on the pitch on a regular basis and often came out as a sub during games. He played six games for the club and scored a goal at the age of 48. Last year, he told the press that he was offered a position as President of Premier League club Zenit Saint-Petersburg. He turned the job down, stating that his own club was just as good.
